AMRR 2018

Any day now registration for the 2018 Allied Memorial Remembrance Ride will be opening. Hopefully the weather will be as good as it has been in past years with sun and staying clear for the fly past over the cemetery.

I've been to six previously since 2010.  This year is the 10th overall!   I missed 2015 as I had had a heart attack and was off the bike and 2016 as it clashed with the Centenary of the Battle of the Somme and we were in France.

So with this year 7 out of 10 ain't too bad!

And with a bit of luck I won't be Johnny No-Mates this year!

We chose to turn left across a lift bridge onto the other bank, where Nieuwpoort was signposted 15kms away. As we headed along we sounded our horns and waved at the "first wave" to no avail. Some miles further on their side came to an end. By then we were way ahead despite dropping the speed to 40. We carried onto t...

Cup of Tea - Having a go at it!

Well that didn't work out as I expected.  The TomTom satnav/GPS had a wobbler and so I only managed P, O and E before calling it a day. I need to connect it and delete the routes it thinks it has and update the one that I will amend on MyRouteApp. The E wasn't the one I was expecting.  That both village signs were in quite dangerous areas meant a stop wasn't very clever. Some of the roads TomTom chose would be difficult on a DR trail bike. But we managed it in the end. P - Peene Railway Museum O - Ottinge Court Farm E - Eythorne Maybe a POE challenge! In the end the stats were:
