Sunday Morning Meldrews

So it's Meldrews Sunday again. Whether it is the time of year but there were only two of us out.

And we were separated. We decided on The 2-Stroke Cafe at Greatstone. It was closed.

I checked on FB and they had posted on Friday that it was closed for a leaking roof.

Cal headed off to another cafe and I went to another one as I didn't know where he was going.

I gave the Yamaha My Ride app a chance and it finally worked. Okay. A two mile ride in a virtual straight line shouldn't have taxed it.

After coffee at the "End of the Line" cafe at Dungeness Light Railway station I set off for home. I tried the app again.

After a longer ride I expected to see a full journey. No.

As it had done last time I tested it and it effed again. Packing up after less than a mile and a half.

I'll give it one more go...

Update 21/10/19

Posted a question on the play store and the developers replied and suggested making some changes to the phone setup and battery settings.

Will have to try again at the next ride out.

My brother for instance.  He regularly plans trips with a mate that take three or four weeks in the summer before the school holidays make hotels and accommodation too expensive. I can't do that. So when "real life" gets in the way, then the bike trips have to take a back seat.  Don't get me wrong.  I like going out in the car with wife and dog to places of interest or just to the White Cliffs for a cake and coffee and walk with Reggie. But. Sometimes I want to get my gear on and go for a ride. Last Sunday the "Family Paul" won out.  Hopefully tomorrow, June 6th and of course the 77th Anniversary D-Day, I can get out and do the trip around the county and get the "Cup of Tea Challenge" chalked off. I need to ride the £15000 wo

Six years with Pepe!

Pepe's insurance was renewed for another year today. So I thought as I have owned this monster for six years it was time to bring this blog to an end and import the contents to "On the Road Again". So that it what I have done.
